WeightLess Program for weight loss and lifestyle change

We all know we have to take weight loss seriously because too much weight can lead to various problems. These include diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, stroke, and breathing difficulties. So, are you ready for a change?

Change your lifestyle, not just your diet. Most people who try fad diets fail because they place too many limitations on food choices and do not learn how to avoid hunger. WeightLess uses the LEARN® program to empower you with a long-term solution for achieving a more appropriate weight. The LEARN® program, developed by Kelly D. Brownell, Ph.D. of Yale University, addresses each of these topics to develop a plan for your life:

It's OK if you need help losing weight. Working with a coach can make all the difference in your weight-loss program. Vera Friesen, R.N. is a graduate of Bryan School of Nursing in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has worked as a health educator since 1980. She received her certification as a Lifestyle Counselor in Weight Management from the American Association of Lifestyle Counselors in 1998 and since then has counseled clients dealing with weight management issues. As Lincoln Family Medical Group’s Health Educator, she also addresses other issues related to changing a person's lifestyle for improved health, such as high cholesterol and diabetes.

WeightLess is a safe, medically supervised weight loss program. It’s encouraging, flexible, customized, private and confidential. WeightLess helps you make healthy food choices without special foods or cookbooks. You will learn to recognize portion sizes appropriate for your body and your weight-loss goals.

WeightLess helps you eliminate hunger and binges and can get you started in an exercise program even if you have been inactive for years.
