Dr. Dale Michels is a board certified family physician. He helped found the group in 1974 after graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and interning at Bryan Hospital. He has been married for 47 years and he and his wife Roylene have 3 children, 3 delightful in-laws and 7 (soon to be 8) grandchildren. They are very blessed to have them all in Lincoln. He has been active in multiple medical and community organizations and continues to serve on the Board of Back to the Bible as well as the Chief Medical Officer for SERPA-ACO. He is a pilot, loves photography, old cars (a 1954 Hudson, a 1941 Ford tractor and a 1951 Farmall M tractor) and living on an acreage where there are foxes, deer and yes, coyotes. He grew up as an only child in Laurel, NE with parents who lived to be 95 and 100 years of age. Good Genes!
If I could travel to two countries, it would be to Sweden and Germany because of my heritage. My father came from Germany and my mother’s parents came from Sweden. My favorite hobby is probably photography. If I were a fruit/vegetable, I’d be a banana because they have a peel. My favorite book is the Bible because it gives my everyday guidance for all aspects of my life.
Something few people know about me is that my dad was an electrician so I have learned how to work with electricity and fix lots of other things. I hold the record for being currently the longest practicing family physician in the community.
